Important George Jacob pair of French armchairs France, circa 1765. Beautiful and Important Period Louis Seize chairs attributed to George Jacob, who was one of the two most prominent Parisian master Menuisiers, producing carved, painted and gilded furniture for the French Royal Chateaux, in the early Neoclassical style which was usually associated with Louis Seize. He also overseed the constant supply of furnishings for Napolean's residences in later years.
